Pre-Arranged Funeral Ceremony

Your Life, Your Story, Your Ceremony

Your life story is unique. Take time and be prepared with the funeral ceremony that reflects your life.  One of the important arrangements you can organize to leave for family whether or not you have a funeral plan in place, is having a say about your own funeral ceremony. You can choose the words, poems, readings, music, symbols and style of ceremony that reflects your life and its meaning.  Why leave your ceremony to be planned by others at a time of loss, when they are experiencing a range of feelings. A pre-arranged memorable funeral ceremony will give you and loved ones comfort, knowing that your funeral ceremony reflects your life and your story for them.

No one knows the world you have inhabited but yourself.  Telling your story will give insights you want others to understand and discover about your life.

Naming Giving

Welcome, Praise, Wish, Bless, and Name Your Child

Celebrate and welcome your child into the family, with a naming ceremony to express your joy, hope and acceptance of responsibility in bringing up a child including others you may appoint who will have an important role in your child’s development and journey into the world.

Families who wish to have a mentor/guide/godparent(s) or supporting adult for their child need to plan for this early.  The very special relationship and role being undertaken by your special person(s) needs to be part of the ceremonial role.

However clear or not you are about a Naming Ceremony, an initial consultation (1 hour fee, reduced if there is a booking) will help you clarify one of the most important and beautiful ceremonies you will create in your child’s life.

Blessingway

A Celebration of Life, Love, Pregnancy and Journey to Motherhood

Don’t just have a baby shower, have a Blessingway for the mother-to-be

During pregnancy and after birth of a new baby, much of the focus is placed on the baby. It’s important not to forget to take the time to pamper and appreciate the new mum. Blessingways are a wonderful opportunity to surround the mother-to-be with inspirational, loving women to prepare her for the birth of her newborn.

A Blessingway is a ritual borrowed from the ancient Navajo tradition to acknowledge changes in a woman’s life and journey to motherhood. It encourages women to create a circle of supporting energy around the mother-to-be during her pregnancy and birth.

Coming of Age

Welcome your daughter to womanhood

Unlike some cultures and religions, we live in a time that does not have any clearly defined ways of marking and celebrating the transition from girl to woman. There are many ways to celebrate a coming of age and make it unique for your daughter that is something dignified, familiar, meaningful and sacred.

A journey to womanhood is an extraordinary rite of passage at a significant life change for a girl. It is a wonderful opportunity to surround her with inspirational, loving women who can support her on the journey to womanhood.

Whilst the traditional time marked for a girl’s coming of age is menarche (first mensuration), girls feel and experience significant change and transition when entering teenage years at 13 or moving from primary to secondary school. You choose a suitable time for this ceremony to take place in her life and the location of your ceremony – indoors or outdoors.
